A c.1900 Bavarian Reserve Officer's Pickelhaube
the patent leather body with a large gilded brass royal crest, the original tall gilded brass spike, horse hair plume, flat-scale gilt brass chin strap and interior with embossed maker's mark in gilt 'Avres-Marke'. Height 300. Note: the red plume often associated with military band members.
