Notes:3rd ed. London : Kegan Paul, 1889, 8vo. xiv, 498 p., [1] leaf of plates, port. 1514. Purple cloth boards with gilt title and crown motif. Fading to spine and wear to boards. Owners inscription to fly leaf. Contains clippings, stapled to prelim and p. 297. Occasional annotations to contents. Scattered foxing. 'Contains much less regarding New Zealand, and much more of the Lichfield, diocese than Mr Tucker's standard memoir. Further material, however, has been availed of - incidents of leaving the Waimate for Auckland ; the Canterbury settlement ; St John's College under Mr. Abraham ; criticism on the four sermons on 'Christ in the World' ; final departure from Auckland' - Hocken.
