'Together with a reprint of letters to the Daily news on The English agricultural labourer in New Zealand; notes of a month's trip on horseback through the North Island of New Zealand; and a few plain directions for intending emigrants.' - Cover. Includes adverts. 'A most encouraging view of the country ; the month's journey (p.44-55) was from Wellington to Wanganui, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Woodville and Featherston.
