Notes:Ranana [i.e. London : Printed by the Society for the Promotion of Christian Knowledge], 1841, 16mo. [4], 114 p. 468. Bound in brown basil with the bishop's mitre blind-stamped on the cover. Wear to boards and cracking to spine. Carries the bookplate of W H De Luen. Small inscription to fly leaf and sketch to rear pastedown. Foxing to contents. 'A small format edition of the Gospel of Matthew, printed by the SPCK for Bishop Selwyn on on his departure for New Zealand in 1841. The CMS gave the SPCK permission to use their translation at a meeting held on 23 November 1841.' - BIM. An appealing copy. Scarce. G.
