  • Notes:
    The Coventry Machinist Co. was the first company to make bicycles in England during the 1860s. This example is one of their finest, with ball bearings, an extremely strong frame and complex but comfortable saddle spring. It was one of the preferred bicycles of the Melbourne Bicycle Club.The Coventry Machinist Co. established a depot in Melbourne to sell their bicycles following their success at the Great Exhibition in 1880.
