• Notes:
  Emerson Porter attended the Elam School of Art but was primarily self taught, he achieved 2nd prize in the 1962 Kelliher Arts Competition and was 2nd in the 1966 Kelliher Dawson Watercolour Exhibition, along with other awards and numerous exhibitions he gained a strong following and praise for his quality, essentially landscape based painting, his attention to detail and perspective of field is clearly evident. He was a great-nephew of the noted N.Z. artist Charles Blomfield. This and the following works by Porter have come from his estate. See back cover.
