  the back engraved 'Presented by the Officers Of Coy', made by the Auckland New Zealand jeweller Carl Schwartze, of diamond form with four diamond sections issuing from the eight pointed star with a wreath enclosing the presentation engraving 'Champion Cross Of P.R.R.V.S. 1874'. 53 x 53, weight 50gms. Note: From 'Papers Past', an article entitled 'Queen's Redoubt. - Firing for Champion Cross', detailing the events of the winning of this cross including a note of the maker, etc.
