• Notes:
  Anne Hall Elser is a freelance photographer and a former editorial staff member of The New Yorker magazine. Her black and white portraits of writers and artists have appeared on book jackets, been exhibited in group and one-woman shows, and are held in many private collections. Her work has been shown at Merrill Lynch, Princeton, NJ; Pfizer Corporation, NYC; Sea Cliff Gallery, Sea Cliff, L.I.; the University of Vermont, Burlington, and at the Houghton Library, Harvard University. Sixty-five of her photographs of New Yorker artists are at the Morgan Library in NYC, accompanying The Melvin R. Seiden Collection of New Yorker drawings. The majority of her photographs for 'At Home in Tennessee' (LSU Press 2009) were shot in color using only natural light. The book showcases twenty early Nineteenth Century Tennessee homes and house museums - a celebration of Tennessee's antebellum domestic décor and its influence on interiors today.https://www.annehallelserphotographer.com/bio
