Lot Description:A hand decorated and floral encrusted bowl and cover, marked Meissen, probably Edme Samson of Paris, 19th century
of lobed and compressed form with a similar cover and a finial in the form of a crown resting on a cushion, with extravagant mask head flying handles and raised on scroll feet, decorated with scenes, and floral swags on a pink white and teal striped ground picked out in gilt, faint impressed mark 225 underside and Marcolini style Meissen mark
22.5cm high, 33cm wide, 20cm deep -
Notes:Condition: This item is in good condition. There are a couple of tiny losses to the applied flowers, and a firing crack to the base rim (see photos to illustrate). Please also see photo of mark and incised numerals.
