• Provenance:
  Purchased from Rose Soady by the collector Mr Eric Hinton; a keen collector of and model in Norman Lindsay's pirate themed works, sold 1958 to a Sydney private collector and fellow student with Mr.Hinton at Hunter Street West Technical College. In said Private Collection until present
• Notes:
  Mr Eric Hinton passed away in May of 1991 and the estate was auctioned as 'The Eric Hinton Estate, Newcastle' by Alison McSweeney Auctions on February 22nd/23rd. The estate contained a number of Norman Lindsay watercolour works and rare books.
