  Two Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen 'Series 7' armchairs, circa 1955
  painted chrome frames with black lacquer plywood seats and armrests,
  stencilled manufacturers stamps
• Notes:
  The early version of the manufacturers stamp indicates that these are likely to be from one of the very first productions of this design in the mid-late 1950's. CONDITION: Scratches and losses to later painted frames. Wear to finish on all arms including loss to veneer approx 4cm to one. Loss of veneer and over-painted on one seat approx 10cm diameter. Rubber support bushes and feet have perished. Scratches and marks throughout the longest 15cm. Structurally comprised. Require specialist restoration / conservation and should not used until that point.
