References:Myron Shew (1824-1891) Myron Shew was born near Watertown, N.Y. In 1841, he and his brothers Trueman, Jacob and William began daguerreotyping in Watertown. They moved and built a skylight gallery in Ogdensburgh. They travelled to Rochester and then to Geneva, N.Y. Still not profiting from the process, they moved to New York City and established the firm of L.P. Hayden & Co. at Park Place.
