Lot Description:BOB FITZSIMMONS - hand-made horse-shoe
stamped at top "Bob Fitzsimmons", and impressed with 15 stars; together with book "The Fighting Blacksmith - The Story of Bob Fitzsimmons" by Odd [London, 1976]. -
Notes:Bob Fitzsimmons (1863-1917, born in Helston, Cornwall, lived in Timaru NZ 1872-83, before moving on to Australia & USA. He made boxing history as the sport's first three-division world champion, and World Heavyweight Champion 1897-99. One of the hardest punchers in boxing history.
