  • Notes:
"The Aspects of Dance series came about as a result of Bob's relationship and affinity with the Australian Ballet. He was a life-long supporter of the ballet. This series was extremely popular, and was released as two portfolios at a launch to raise money for the Australian Ballet. Bob's imagery is extremely well suited to this medium, which relies on the use of contrast. This imagery came very naturally to Bob who worked all his career in charcoal, and he clearly enjoyed the dramatic and expressive qualities of black & white. These prints are highly charged moments and moments of reflection combined, sometimes appearing both elegant and crude. These sets are available because they represent the last of the boxed and unframed versions of the edition. Usually only made available for sale to institutions we enter these with a low reserve to make sure they are accessible to lovers of fine art and ballet," Jenny Dickerson.
