Notes:"In 2001 I completed a book of poetry which was to be called Chiaroscuro. Bob was generous enough to do the illustrations for that book - inspired by the poems. I went on to have a final exhibition of those poems and works together over many years, finally having a selling exhibition of the works that I was given back then. I always kept a few aside and these works represent the balance of that collection. This is the last of those images. The poems hopefully explain the imagery (or vice versa). I have included a signed copy of the poetry book with each of these images to help with the narrative but the imagery is very much stand alone," Jenny Dickerson. Song of Grandma Grandmother Gray used to hum a lot under her breath, an incessant random trill Nobody knew that she was mentally ill. She was a woman of great style straight back and tight determined lips; in black satin and fur with diamond clips. She travelled Russia and had seen the Tsar, Her house was furnished in the art nouveau, She thought herself above the "hoi-poloi" in luxury that many never know. They tricked her into going into the Home; said they were off to an exhibition of lace. She never would come out of that place. The daughters then divided up her things without much ceremony they doled out her jewels, the sons began to fight about the land. No wonder that she thought them all such fools.
