  between numb.2371 and 2998: much of interest including issue 2371 (Aug. 6,1688) with records of addresses to the King and Consort on the birth of the Prince of Wales, the same issue reporting that the King has ordered breast feeding be given to the Prince “with much success”; issue 2384 (Sep.20,1688) with a declaration from James II that no Roman Catholic may be a member of the British House of Commons; issue 2447 (Apr.22,1689) reports on the Coronation of King William & Queen Mary (following deposition of James II in late 1688) and the offer of the Scottish Crown to the new King and his consort; issue 2497 (Oct.14,1689) reports of the departure of 40 merchant ships bound for New England, Virginia & Newfoundland and the election of Pope Alexander VIII; issue 2510 (Nov.28, 1689) with news of negro slaves being supplied to the Spanish West Indies; issue 2533 (Feb17,1690) with news of the Coronation of Joseph I as Holy Roman Emperor; issue 2549 (Apr.14, 1690) with news that Innsbruck almost completely destroyed by an earthquake; plenty more of interest in other issues, along with a plethora of announcements and fascinating advertisements.
