  In 1994, Subaru introduced STI versions of the WRX in Japan. Developed by Subaru’s motorsports division, Subaru Tecnica International (STI), the Subaru Impreza WRX STi was the sportiest version of Impreza ever created, being entirely based on the car produced by the company for the FIA World Rally Championship. These models were upgraded from the standard WRX in many categories, adding more power, bigger brakes, beefier transmission components, and stiffer suspension. The first STIs were converted from regular WRXs at the Subaru factory, but by the end of 1994, the WRX STi had its own dedicated assembly. The STI versions of the WRX were immensely successful in rallies and popular among street racers but were initially sold only in Japan. In January 1999, the Impreza WRX STi Version V was released. Available as a two-door sedan and priced at AU$60,000, only 400 vehicles were imported by Subaru Australia for the Australian market, of these, it is believed there were only 150 delivered in white. This 1999 Subaru WRX STi in pure white with gold-painted six-spoke alloy wheels was purchased new from Dave Nutter Subaru, Packenham by the current owner and has a mere 7,005 kms on the odometer. It has been kept in storage for the past 15 years but has been recently recommissioned with a full service. This vehicle will be sold unregistered
