    the steeply flared bowl in the form of an open lotus leaf, carved on the exterior in deep and pierced relief with stems bearing a large lotus flower, a pod and further leaves and buds rising up the sides, beside two slender stems bearing leaves and grain extending over the rim and forming the handle
