Lot Description:A Chinese Porcelain, Celadon Glazed, Cong Shaped Vase, Six Character Underglaze Blue Mark & Period of Guangxu, [1875-1908]
the square body is molded on each side with Eight Trigrams, Bagua, below a short cylindrical neck & sits on a deep circular foot.
H 28. 5 cm -
Notes:The eight trigrams, are from the ancient book of Changes, known as the 'I Ching'. The trigrams consist of three lines, which are broken, Yin & unbroken, Yáng. Condition: the base has been drilled for a lamp & has an old restoration. The mark is intact except for two strokes, partly missing.
