Lot Description:A Chinese ivory carved round cover box, Qing dynasty (1664-1912)
carved in relief, the lid depicting two cranes, one flying on top of a pine tree, one standing on the wave, and two bats flying amongst clouds; the centre of the base with a “Shou” character circulated with five bats, surrounded by a band of eight “Shou” character shaped clouds.
